Division Algorithm

When $f(x)$ is divided by $d(x)$, if the quotient is $Q(x)$ and the remainder is $R(x)$, then we have
\begin{equation*}
f(x)=d(x) \times Q(x) +R(x),
\end{equation*}
where the degree of $R(x)$ must be smaller than that of $d(x)$.
